Some things, and I dont claim to be an expert at all on LAtin American conflicts. Equador has mandatory military service for all males.. 12 months required. So thats the first problem.. so do alot of EU countries actually.
Morales, unfortunately, is greatly disliked among a large pocket of people in the resource rich area of the country. And that is creating his problems right now, he wants to nationalize things, that corner of the country is against that idea with a passion.
Equador and Colombia wont go to war. They’ll build up and spend money and send poor kids into the service… but they wont bomb each other. Among my reasoning for saying this, they have extremely close cultural and economic ties..people working in the others country. If a government tried to sell them on a war, I think people would rebel. Its not like the US that loves to go to war and makes kind of a every few years tradition out of it. Again its all speculation, but you know Im a good student of history.. so my speculation can’t be all bad.

i’ve been trying to listen to this episode b4 bed for 2 nites now but i keep fallin alseep & having bad dreams probubbly a result of u & rils chatting to my unconscious mind
