Fantastic I really enjoyed the show! Thank You.
The BBC also did a show that appeared was free advertising for Coca-Cola. Nice!

Good luck with Chris Moyles and his “Gay” jibe he’s pathetic. School kids use the term in the UK because it’s infantile and offensive but Chris is an old git like me.

Apparently she’s blogging on the Huffington Post, too. You should read her. Girl’s got spunk.

Rolling on the ground laughing — until I picture it. Then it’s kind of rolling on the ground barfing. Entertaining nonetheless.
Rachel played this for me last night on the way home from Paul’s place. So good!
love you madge. track was produced by steve davis.
Rachel, have you ever heard of Anne Clark? She’s a 1980’s darkwave performance poet with a punky cockney accent. She mixes gloomy synths with very intense lyrics and beats. You should really look her up since you love Nine Inch Nails/Depeche Mode. I LOVE your lyrics and delivery but I really think a more darker musical direction would really suit your voice, especially if your dream is to tour with Trent Reznor.
hi matt!
i like darkness too, believe me…have you seen my music vid or heard my dnb trax? go to myspace.com/rachelkann and tell me if that is more the vibe you are thinking… xoxo
Ah cool! The videos have been great but I’ve been suffering from Yeast withdrawal symptoms otherwise (consisting of a sweetness of odour and absence of groin pain).
Great show, too. Love the Rachel Kann number and Norm was excellent too (and you, Madge, of course).
Oh, BTW, I have mixed feelings on the Chris Moyles (BBC) gay = rubbish thing, I’m sending some audio feedback on that, but for the record:
The BBC governors decided the remark was not homophobic (and certainly the term seems less threatening or derogatory than faggot, at least to my ears) but did acknowledge that the world could cause offence and advised presenters to use caution when using the term.
The governors did uphold a complaint about a comment made by The Game (who?!) on Jo Whiley’s show, but Jo also did a good job there of apologising and distancing herself and the station from The Game’s comments.
I think we need to pick battles carefully. Bitching about a ringtone actually seems lame compared to someone being insulted by the term (i.e. The Game saying that faggots were not real men).

In short: I know the whole gay = lame thing not entirely right and you can take issue with that but I think the governors were being reasonable and the issue probably got more attention because it was Chris Moyles that said it. Hopefully it will make people think, because that’s just it: people aren’t thinking.
Loved the poem remix. It moved me to tears when you posted the original memorial service for Juan.
The video blogs got off to a slow start, but loving them now. More please. It still seems a bit funny watching middle class Americans treating us Europeans like we are still in the dark ages, but there you go. I think it says something about the quality of life over here compared to the way you are in the US of A. There’s more to life than working for the Man so you can go down the mall every weekend and holiday. What do I know – I’m drunk. Keep it up Madge-hope you make it to London!
