The Maoists in Nepal are argueably THE movement for democracy in the face of the insane royal family which has been holding back elections for some time. Now they’re also accused of using violence and being an armed faction.. either way this has been a long time coming. And as far as finding solutions for conflicts I think its interesting that their leader will now find himself in government, having to further play the beaurocratic political game. which should be good. plus he’s not the worst person to ever take office in that part of the world.
are they communist? only in a few aspects, as well as their label “maoists” otherwise its going to be a fairly conventional government I predict.I mean.. conventional for nepal.
