I would buy tons of Madge Weinstein shirts. Also Madge jock straps would be awesome.
Clean blood. Unlike the HIV blood/transplants given out at various Cook County Hospitals.
I kind of think you feed on the attention from what you do with your media (in a good way). This is kind of weird because in many ways you seem to be a very private person.
If you were able to do your stuff in more venues and in some ways less restrained, that you may flourish more. Of course, with less restraint, you, yourself, will need to keep a better grip on whether or not you are relating to your audience. I guess you have to figure out if you now have a safety net or a constraining net. Either way, you have my attention.
I loved it when you said, “really ghetto crackwhore neighborhoods… no white people or EVEN latinos for miles” So racist! I love it!
Sorry, that was Pat.
nope, that was madge
thats why i love ya!
It’s true! We love our fallible Madge, especially when she’s racist.
🙂
THAT WAS PAT!
God, this is good. I don’t think you understand how great these last two shows have been.
Really? I’ve been too embarassed to even listen to them at all. OK, well I did listen to Rachel. How could I not? I’m just afraid it’s going to turd into a depressioncast.
I have to agree about the past two shows. I listened to them to the end, and I don’t always… :-!
But its not! The humour is just more layered and mixed in more evenly with the frank personal and political talk – it has that similar hilarious/melancholy tone that your Bush concession speech video had in 2004. Its far more a return to the raw “audio blog” format of your early shows than anything else.
Please don’t refer to it as the best podcast ever or my sycophantic cousin from red bank New Jersoi- but it is & hope to hear cheryl soon for some yuletide lyups. Say hello to the sea for me.
Keep this kind of show coming Madge! You’re great!
you and the lyps monster should have a special hanakwanzawanza episode for the holidays!
Fuck that.
ahhh, i’s just be fuckin with ya!!
wonderful show turday and yesterday, i know you don’t think so, but they were the best in a long time
Wonderful show. It’s really nice to hear you let some of this go on your show and get it out so you can move on. The healing can now begin.
Oh and how can I get my hands on one of them sex instruction books from Norman? What that book, $2.99?
lyps
I have also have found it hard to get really involved in issues that don’t directly affect me because my life has been crazy. Being honest and personal is what separates good podcasts from great podcasts IMHO. I know saying “lyps” a million times is a vital part of the show but I really love hearing the real person behind the mean, nasty and bloated dyke.
If you make a Madge T-shirt be sure to start out at 3X-large since that’d appeal to the demographics.
try 12x
Podcasting is therapy.
[…] Cousin from Red Bank, NJ is visiting. I love euphemisms. This one happens to be the newest one I heard and it makes me laugh. OK, having my “cousin” visit doesn’t make me laugh but the […]
