I was called a butt pirate all through high school. The funny thing is, it’s not true. I’m not a butt pirate. I haven’t saw the preview for the movie because I don’t watch the god damned TV but I have heard about it because surprisingly people in my family want to see it. When people in MY family want to see a movie like that, then you know it’s going to be offensive.

I really have this love/hate of Apple. Especially when it comes to pricing. I don’t care how you look at it. You get more hardware for your money when you buy a PC. Sorry to offend anyone, but, you do. You really do.

I’m 40 years old and I have seen Apples around since the very beginning. Long, long, long, long ago when Dinosaurs roamed the Earth, I decided that Apple was shit. All proprietary hardware, at very expensive costs. I have always, always, always been a PC person, but I started looking at Linux about 10 years ago With Red Hat 5.2.

I’ve had Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000 Pro and Server, XP, and now my latest laptop has Vista. Having ONE or TWO windows machines alwayd for work, but all the rest of my machines are Linux. You can take an old PC and get lots more life out of it by switching to Linux.

Long live Linux … Steve Jobs, Apple, Bill Gates, and Microsoft can SUCK MY BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cinelerra gets a lot of press. There is also Kino and LiVES. Kino is the most basic of them. Cinelerra is more of a professional application and, for me, is more complicated. There’s another one but I can’t remember the name of it, it’s a lot like Kino, basic, simple.

Look, don’t try to edit video on anything but a Mac, the experience will inevitably cause your brain to implode.

Red Hat Linux 5.2 was the first copy of Linux I ever owned. I bought it at Wal-Mart for $10! I was very excited with it. I love Linux and am now using Fedora as my Linux distribution of choice. I’ve always preferred RedHat based distributions.

I love Linux but for my web design work, photography, and video editing I still have to use a Mac or PC. Hopefully Adobe will someday make their software cross-platform!

I now use OpenSuse 10.2 owned by Novell. yeah, I hate the deal they made with MS … but I still like OpenSuse 10.2 and KDE. It is just rock-solid. Not a big fan of Fedora, but I use it at work, and it still works like a champ.

“I’m a PC” but your devotion to Apple has helped sparked a further interest in my considering to buy a Mac next time I buy a computer, I hope Apple pulls it’s finger out of it’s cunt and helps you out, I doubt there is much I can do to help you being in Australia with completely different laws etc. But I wish you well and urge anyone with any know-how in USA to get in touch asap

Reports online are stating that “Hackers could take control of an iPhone if its owner visits a doctored Web site or Internet hotspot, security researchers reported Monday.”

I think this stupid iPhone will cause a continued distraction to Apples services and products.

Apple is stupid, Microsoft have fucked up so much they probably had a real chance to sell their Mac’s but they went and joined a completely different industry with phones…

I’m happy to say I’ve still not got an iPod or anything like it, and have NOT upgraded to Microsoft Visturd.

Just read the page I linked to, they say “bogus” but, I still have an inkling that they do it. Plus, there are so many bad things about Visturd. Especially the built in DRM. It’s a crippled OS even before you install it.

Apple’s computers cost far, far less than they used to. Twenty years ago, the highest performing models were built like tanks, but they were a lot simpler internally (with their 8mb RAM and 40 GB hard drives) and typically only afforded by businesses who could readily justify their huge cost.

Now they have a bigger, hamburger-chugging audience who care more about the brand’s image than its original substance, and they can’t refuse the opportunity of lightening the public of their money. As long as they appear to remain better it’ll suffice their business purposes … not hard in what’s essentially a two-horse race.

Crappification of once pristine brands is everywhere… even BMW has started making some of its cars in China, albeit not for export.

What’s really annoyed me about Apple is the marketing lies regarding the PowerMac/MacPro:

1) The last of the G4s which had adequate performance for modern needs were often unacceptably noisy because the small case was hot and stuffed to the gills. So they told us the G5 would have a wind tunnel, 8 fans and a fully perforated front and rear for “whisper quiet operation” – still, the fans cycle up and down, sometimes roar, and the power supply makes chirping sounds. You could move the tower further away, but Apple only includes a 30 cm or so cord with the standard keyboard.

2) They claimed the G5 had 8 billion times the processing “muscle” of the G4, thanks to the move from 32 to 64-bit processing. Well, I don’t think I’m seeing any less of the spinning color wheel. And MS Word still stumbles around like a partially frozen geriatric. Given all the purportedly extra power, you’d expect the G5 to keep up with basic tasks, but it often doesn’t. Why the hell do the lazy dual processors need so much cooling when they can’t possibly be working at full capacity? What happens if you run a suite of 64 bit programs … do the fans spin hard enough to vacuum the tower off the desktop and fly it around the room?

Oh, and they bad-mouthed Intel for years, and then they had public hooker sex, with them after Steve and IBM fell out, after one gave the other an STD.

I love apple the hardware/software, Final Cut Studio, Logic Pro even the free ilife shit is part of my sad little life, it’s only been with me since early 2004 prior to that I was a windows user, i’ll never use windows again I loathe it and it infuriates me that some people think that piece of shit is a personal computer, they don’t know this other easy world where a fucking computer does the work for us not the other way around.

Fancy having 5 different versions of Vista and having titles like Vista Ultimate !!!! who works that marketing department ? “ultimate” jesus christ.

I fucking hate windows, it’s so complicated especially for people new to the internet/computers etc like my parents and grandparents, who’ve given up on it until I can afford to buy them all apples, pretty dauting for new users inundated with popups asking them if they’d love to suck big russian/thai cunt lips, or getting redirected to fuckcam sites or just those constant error messages fucccccccccccccck i hate microsoft and the many wasted years i devoted to that cunt before i bought a mac after thinking how cool an ipod was.

I bought a dual g5 2.3ghz around the same time you bought your liquid beast I wanted the liquid cool but it was too much, fuck i’m glad i didn’t get it now, but persist with the apple robots call them every day for an update/complaint.

write to the manager of the service department enclose copies of all the other apple shit you’ve purchased, send 5 of the same letters that way you know it got read, send it recorded post , but don’t threaten to blog shit or they’ll get cunty.

they will acknowledge this liquid cooling problem soon, but they won’t reimburse you so if you haven’t already don’t pay, cancel the work for now get your mac back.
To the windows users here, none of you have ever really been mac users, mac users were once windows users but windows users were never mac users because no one would ever go back to using that dated shit after experiencing a mac.
so please if you ever find yourself with some free cash buy a mac it will change your life you’ll get creative you may even make some money.

You’re fake. You’ve never commented here, are posting anon, and are using typical Apple talking points. Why don’t you use your professional situation to eliminate my problem. Talking about Vista’s 17 differently priced versions makes you sound like that turd faced apple nerd from the commercials.

I have dealt with enough people at Apple that should have taken care of me. They did not. The BBB will handle it now. That is what they do. I make shows- that is what I do. I’m not a consumer advocate.

This corporate ‘customer support’ methodology of only helping the squeakiest wheels is repugnant.
