When I saw it I couldn’t do anything but laugh. Who here remembers that clip?
What are you talking about?
Buglapse? What happened to your ‘R’?
The Ralph Nader on Democracy Now was AMAZING. I really loved listening to him. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it and if theres anything that he’s not saying that we should be concerned about with him. I don’t suspect there is. I really enjoyed listening to him though. Everything he said I agreed with.
The opera song was really great. Really enjoyed it. I need to steal some more opera music from somewhere.
It sounds like the G5 is really fucked. That sounds like it’s gonna be a really expensive repair job. Probably enough to buy a MacBook Pro ($1,844 on MacMall).
Simon Tune is too cute to be a making babies.
I thought the execution was today? Oy, I need to look that up.
Well. There’s still some time. I just hope more people will fax, email, etc. But they won’t…as usual.
The important thing is not whether *they* do but whether or not *you* do.
Madge,
I just tried several times to follow the Amnesty International procedure and the application keeps returning errors. Just thought I’d let you know.
Also, no prob on not playing the message — I understand.
Works fine for me… maybe it’s your DNS.
I’m going to do my part.
The death penalty, like abortion, is a very fragile issue. You’re right, killing someone as a punishment is very harsh, but in some cases it really is just. It would be right to invoke the death penalty against someone who comitted genocide or a someone who continually kills people. However, the evidence must be solid and the person really deserves the right to appeal such a harsh decision. I personally believe the death penalty shouldn’t be abolished, but the requirements should become stricter and should only be used as a last resort and not used as often as it currently is used. That’s just how I feel.
This just infuriates me. If it is not right for someone to kill, why is it right to kill the person that killed? What purpose does it serve? So fucking simple minded. I get so pissed and frustrated because it is so clear to me that killing people is wrong. That discarding people is wrong. That is what the death penalty does, it devalues life. If you devalue ANY life than you have devalued them all. Whether you choose to accept it or not.
How ’bout we address the problems in our society that cause violence instead of responding with more?
I agree with Mikeypod 100%. The point is killing is wrong.
I totally agree, too. Killing someone just let’s them off the hook, too.

I’ve done as much as I can without breaking down the prison walls. I hope that he won’t be executed, but I’ve yet to hear back from anyone that I sent the links to (except from a couple of Europeans), as well as the news organizations that I sent the story to…and it’s been over three days.
