YR534 More Madge-Free Original Yeast from 1997

Shownotes by Matt Blender.

Richard Bluestein comes back to play more old Yeast Radios.

I’ve been watching Grey’s Anatomy lately. I think it’s very good but also very depressing.

It’s coming close to the anniversary of Juan’s passing and I’ve been melancholy about it.

Trippy organ-y sounding song.

A play on a vintage Yeast Radio called Hyman Vagin-gin by Tennessee Williams.

Retarded daughter fisting.

Gak.

Yelling “girdle!”

More gak.

We started the Touch Me Elmo thing.

More skits.

Reading of the Yeast.

Knock-knock joke.

A plane almost hit OJ Simpson on a golf course (ten years ago).

Golf joke.

Tampon joke.

The first-ever Yeast Radio song.

Oh MY GAWD! I love Philip Glass’ Einstein on the Beach! I don’t own it, so I was glad to hear a part of it here! Thanks!

Mikeypod gave it to me last year for my birthday. It’s the 70’s version on vinyl.

        Idea for an Opera.

Instead of Einstein on the Beach, WEINSTEIN ON THE BEACH! Cunt, two, three, four… lol!

I’m sorry but Grey’s Anatomy is absoutely AWFUL. Whiny, sappy bullshit for being who think the Gilmore Girls are “hip and edgy”. Yuck.

Stick with higher quality stuff on cable – Rome, Weeds, Big Love, Carnivale, Six Feet Under and more importantly DEXTER (brilliant black comedy about a serial killer). The Sarah Silverman Program, which is very Amy Sedaris-esque is another good one. Dump all the watered down network shit that all the bored housewives are obsessed with, its not worth it.

Agree about Grey’s. Like the last five minutes of Desperate Housewives that I always skip, I hate any show that has a narrator tell me what to think about the plot in some “The More You Know” fashion. My guilty primetime drama pleasures are Brothers and Sisters and Studio 60.

I disagree. Grey’s might not appeal to everyone, but you can’t deny its quality. Shonda Rhimes knows how to create good drama.

Also, Veronica Mars uses voice-overs a lot and it’s easily one of the most well-written shows on TV right now.

Oh I forgot I love Veronica Mars too but the latest season is sadly really boring.

          Still hate Grey’s Anatomy. Sorry.

By the way, Grey’s Anatomy *is* an excellent show. It’s about relationships and getting through life. I find that usefeul.

I’m so happy you started watching. Did you see the Christina Ricci episodes yet? Their titles are “It’s the End of the World” and “As We Know It.”
