At the polling place I voted at they printed off an access code number and you entered that into the machine. I don’t see why that number can’t be used as a serial number for tracking purposes.

Madge-ee-poo: Probably the most most bang for the buck on external drives is the MyBook by Western Digital. Most will sport both firewire and USB (both high speed). I was able to get a 500GB for $250 (usb only). You can find ’em at place like Buy.com or the like.
The only complaint I have about it is the casing is not the most heavy duty but I carry it around in my back pack and it’s still working — for what it’s worth.
Oh! — and according to CNN (Cunt, Nipple, Nipple) we’re 1 seat away from a Democratic house and senate. Rumsfelt-up quit and Busch is now having to eat crow. It’s a nice day.
