    Hi there…

    I have been to see Barbra Streisand… I now know where Madge has been hiding… Here are some quotes from Babs recent shows.

    ….”The only thing I like better then American Democracy is eating”

    ….”See, I’m not THAT fat”

    ….Barbra told the audience she was going off stage to get out of her heels, and to eat some pizza.

    ….She played “Lost Inside of You” on the piano, at one point messing up, and said “Shit!”.

    And the last one, my faverite….

    After a skit that poked fun at President George W. Bush, and a man yelled taunts at her, she said, “Shut the — — up if you can’t take a joke,” and then offered to return his money.

    This 64 year old woman really brings an imposter pres out on stage and gives him hell for about 20 min.. its fantastic.

    I was laughing and cheering so loud in my seat that the lady beside me looked over and said “shhh”

    So, Im sure Madge has a new job writing joke for BABS..

    Anyhow.. love your show, too.

        Yup — it sure is. As I was listening to that exchange with you and Adam you were talking about what stuff, in 2004, that Apple has put — or at least tired to put — into iTunes in 2006. As a frustrated iPod owner (I just, finally, bought one), I hear what you said in 2004 and wish Apple would finish doing what you said back then. It does looke like they’ve tried, though. BTW: I use but absolutely hate iTunes. I do not hate you, though — not at all.

        Try this: mount volume “cifs://Madge Weinstein:Richard Bluestein 2004@Apple iTunes/2006”. This will create a shortcut to all YR episodes on your desktop.

          To be honest, I’m not sure how one would draw that out. I don’t think one would use an “=”, but who knows?

    Very interestng listening to that 2005 interview with Adam Curry. BTW — did all podcasting sound like that in 2005? It sounded like Thomas Edison’s first “Mary Had a Little Lamb” recording of 1910.

    It’s interesting to listen to the interview with Adam at the end and cross reference that with the latter Trade Secrets he did with Dave.

    Adam also sounds like a completely different person now as compared to then. Maybe its all that compression…

    Interesting stuff, Richard. In some ways, it feels like podcasting has only devolved since the time that Madge did that interview with Adams Curry. I know it hasn’t, but I don’t know. Just seems like something has been lost since then.
