Because they (Bush and company) are not really concerned about children or embryos. The only reason Bush is taking a stand against stem cell research is because he wants to keep his Right Wing Christian Crazy Supporters happy. That is all this is about and that makes it even worse. He has fucked up the Iraq so bad I guess he thinks this will keep all the christians who put him in office from turning on him – the bad part is it has kind of worked. All he has to do is say “ProLife” and they fall at his fucking feet.

Totally tech point for Madge – I can appreciate that Übercaster rocks like it that you use Live to do your shows, seems to suit your improvisational style, and I love it when you start dropping in music or go off on some awesome soundscaping megamix just because you can.

Great interview at show close with Jan. I’m stuck on the anarchy issue though–smart, right-thinking people will do the right thing…they’ll follow the laws that make sense to them…fuck the rest. What about the not-so-bright or pathological? (I know…who’s to define patholological?) Unless there’s anarchic enforcement of justice just as there’s an anarchic obedience of law. I’m confusing myself even more. It’s time for Chinese food.

I’m not hating on Podshow+, I kind of like that I can put all my feeds on one page for everyone in the community to see.
The reason why the Bush regime wont do anything about climate change is that the right wing fundies think that the rapture is going to happen soon so why bother looking after the planet? They just go about being good chrsitians driving thier 4×4 that drink fuel, pollute the environment, kill poor people in smaller cars blah blah blah !!!!
