It was very touching to hear you spend some time with Chauncey. I can’t help but see the symmetry of Gussie leaving you Trotsky, and you sending Chauncey up to keep her company. I am so sorry about your puppy. It is amazing how wonderful and horrid life can be. It is a miracle and curse all at once. Words are so useless sometimes. You make my life so much better, I hate to know you are suffering so. We all really do love you. Hold on.

I’m sorry to hear about Chauncey, Madge…I know he’s very special to you. I went through this a few times, and it’s always hard. I’m even gladder now that you have “Trotskula” in your life…
I sometimes use this stuff called “Simple Solution” on my rug, that you can get at most pet stores. Theoretically it gets rid of the odor so the pet won’t be “attracted” to it anymore, but it’s hit and miss…my cat still scratches…
