YR290 The Madge Weinstein Rebuttal of the PBS Kangaroo Interview of President Bush

The furthest side of idiocy. We must break through.

UPDATE (via Daily Kos):
WASHINGTON Dec 17, 2005 — President Bush said Saturday he personally has authorized a secret eavesdropping program in the U.S. more than 30 times since the Sept. 11 attacks and he lashed out at those involved in publicly revealing the program.

“This authorization is a vital tool in our war against the terrorists. It is critical to saving American lives. The American people expect me to do everything in my power, under our laws and Constitution, to protect them and their civil liberties and that is exactly what I will continue to do as long as I am president of the United States,” Bush said.

Appearing angry at times during his eight-minute address, Bush left no doubt that he will continue authorizing the program.

“I intend to do so for as long as our nation faces a continuing threat from al-Qaida and related groups,” he said.

Madge, you are so fucking right!!! When I heard the “breaking news” that Bush finally admitted that he broke the law by personally authorizing this illegal eavesdropping hundreds of times (and plans to continue breaking the law) I was sick to my stomach.

The media has swept all the truth under the carpet and will continue to do so. If this was Clinton or any other non-Republican president, the “liberal” media would have ripped them apart. Since 911, the media is paralyzed and refuses to report anything contrary to the Bush Administration for fear of seeming “un-American” when everything Bush does undermines American people. His southern hick accent appeals the vast majority of mindless people who are too busy driving their SUV’s, and he convinces them that his policies better them when they do the exact opposite.

Christ, I can’t take another 3 years of this bullshit. Get me out of here.

regarding PBS: This is the institution that the Republicunts basically want to completely shut down for good. Don’t you think it would be in PBS’ own best self-preservation interest to “chum up” with Bush & spend money promoting the interview & such?

Yeah, that’s a great strategy. Let’s have yet one of the last bastions of liberal reporting give in to the administration’s bullying tactics. That’s exactly the same thinking that drove the backbone right out of the Democrats in Congress.

      Get ’em, Madge.

I didn’t say it was right; I just think they might be taking the supposed “easy” way out. 🙂

nice work, Madge, too bad that the endless mantra, talking points and lazy ass reporturds have nested so much dribble and ineptitude in people’s brains, you’d need high tech surgery to really wake them up. Seriously, what will really ‘shock’ anymore, after what all those fuckers got away with.
