You are not going to like what I have to say here. Please be assured that I am totally against this illegal and immoral war, and I despise my government for implementing it. But the claims suggested in this video are bogus. As someone who has seen, in person, more dead bodies than anyone would need or want to see, I assure you that ALL of those bodies looked totally unremarkable. They clearly look like bodies that have been dead and lying un-embalmed for many days. They do not look in any way unusual, and would not look so to ANYONE with any actual experience in investigating deaths. This video, is pure propaganda. The film offers absolutely no evidence of the allegations. If I dropped dead in my back yard right now from choking on a Big Mac, and nobody discovered me for a week in the Florida heat, I would look exactly like the bodies you see in these videos.
It’s all horrible, that anyone has to die in this hideous war. But this is not evidence of chemical warfare. It is simply the face of death.
They just did a whole story on this in democracy now. The army doesn’t even deny use of these chemicals. There are eyewitnesses including citizens and foreign journalists that had nothing to do with this video. Did you watch the whole video that I posted on insanefilms.com? Also- what is your forensic exprience? Under what circumstances did you see so many dead bodies?
Madge you know what my experience is… and you know under what circumstances I saw all those dead bodies. Odd that you should publicly demand such an answer on the blog, when you know I have the experience and authority. Trying to “out” me or something?
These reports appear to me to be wrong. The remarks and conclusions of these journalists and witnesses appear to be wrong as well.
Is it all or nothing? If I oppose the war do I therefore have to believe everything I’m told by opponents to the war? Or am I allowed to use my brain?
My knowledge and experience tell me that what I see on this video has nothing what-so-ever to do with what is being claimed in the audio.

Those bodies look like ordinary bodies in various stages of natural decay. THAT is why they look so bad and their clothing doesn’t.

I thought Madge’s asking what experience you had, pdub, in this context was because us reading this didnt know your specific experience. anyway nevermind that —
I want to focus on the facts, and i actually understand part of pdubs answer because videos and photos have lost alot of credibility, even if they are 100% real.
The facts regardless of the images or videos, is that – once again – there are many witnesses, including the italian journalist who was kidnapped and has testified on countless occasion of what she saw. Then you have the US military very publicly developing new nuclear and chemical weapons.. and lets not forget they use depleted uranium STILL — despite all the conclusive evidence that civilians, years after, get all sorts of sicknesses and cancers.
It is quite unrealistic believe this military hasnt and wont use chemical weapons. Why else wont they sign the treaties!? So that when the moment suits them.. they can do it! (and have!)

Maybe I am wrong, but I thought that during one the tenderer moments between Madge and myself, I told her that I had spent many years working in law enforcement. Because of that, I have unfortunately too much experience with dead bodies in various stages of decay. That is why I say the video, doesn’t support the allegations. That said, I don’t see the story itself as being outside the scope of things I believe my government would do, and has done. In fact, I have heard that the chemical weapons that we are so upset about Saddam using against the Kurds, were actually given to him by the U.S. in hopes that he would use them against Iran when they were fighting each other.
Just saw some of the Italian footage on Dutch TV. “Serious allegations by Italian TV channel RAI against U.S. military forces in Iraq”. Followed by some Dutch “expert” who eplained what phosphor grenades are and how they work. He said that those grenades are usually used to light up the sky, but could also be “misused” to fire directly at a target. He also said that the U.S. is the only country in the world that has those grenades and that using them “does not make you very popular”
The US Army can claim that these flares were misused and the bombing wasn’t the result of a direct order. Who’s going to take the fall and how is it going to be proved that chemicals were used so that these lazy fuckers can get banged to rights.
