Hi Madge,
Was she able to help you to get your files Ipod ready? On her site she uses regular mpeg4 visual, another variety of MPEG4 Visual (simple profile), h.263 (using the 3gpp file format). And the h.264/mpeg 4 AVC format.

Someone showed me how to encode with h.264 for the ipod. I needed to use the h.264 baseline profile, which apparently is not available with cuntpreosswhore. So, i had to use quicktime.
