Off the top of my ass, Royal Dutch Shell has a majority UK ownership and a Minority Dutch.. either that or its a 50/50 ownership.
But all the Royal Dutch Stuff is because it used to be financed by the government, but most of those things have all been privatized.. often with the government as a major stock holder in the company. The the TPG post.. KLM… etc.
Course a proper dutch person will correct me since Im a fake dutch person.-
it’s actually a 60/40 ownership in favor of the Dutch. And the Royal Family of the Netherlands is one of the biggest (and original, thus ‘royal’) shareholders of Royal Dutch Shell. So that’s where all that money is going.
