The government’s disaster chief, Michael Brown, waited until 5 hours after Hurricane Katrina had already struck the Gulf Coast before asking his boss to dispatch 1,000 Homeland Security employees to the region — and gave them two days to arrive, according to internal documents.

There is no doubt he should have already been fired and the fact that he still have not is just amazing.

Good show Madge, thanks for spreading the word about this. I truly hope something comes out of this.

I love how Babs stressed that “UNDER-privileged” as if they were less worthy. Yeah. Tee hee hee…

Un-fucking-believable. Now we know where Snatch, Jr. gets his humanity. From Pierce publication money. (Just for the record, they published those home improvement magazines, like “Better Homes & Gardens.” Babs was a Pierce–she is their heir. Wonder how many “homes” down there can be improved. Right. Tee hee hee…)

This is one of the most forthright pieces I’ve read about the hurricane/politics/the future: http://markbernstein.org/Sep0501/WhatEnded.html
