Spamalot is a pretty good show. There is nothing that cunta lezzy could do but make the situation worse. I think the theatre is a fine place for her..

Madge,

A very thought provoking show. Listening to you read accounts of the suffering that is taking place in New Orleans was harrowing. I believe that your analysis of the politics of global warming is spot on and as ever your humanity shines through.

I remember studying about global warming 20 years ago (when it was already starting) and thinking, “I’ll bet nobody does a goddamn thing about this.” Because, because…people would rather have huge cars that are inconvenient to park, and anesthetize themselves with creature comforts than make their lives better by actually doing without temperal things that make them slaves to consumerism.

OK, maybe at 17, I didn’t think ALL those things…but I heard people say that “well, it’s probably too late anyway, the die is cast,” blah, blah, blah…

Well, maybe the damage can’t be reversed, but it could be MITIGATED if everyone took action. Does this mean give up your job, live in poverty, sacrifice your whole life? Hell, no! 80% of the world’s resources are actually used by very few people. If each of these people gave up just a few of their “things,” their quality of life wouldn’t even suffer, and others’ might even improve.

Sadly, it’s these few who have been taught in the school of possessions + money = prosperity = success.

So why are they always so fucking miserable?
