Are you mad as hell yet?

I’m from NO but live in SF now. My heart has broken a hundred times these long five days.
There is streaming video coming from wdsu.com, wwltv.com and wngo.com. WWL has a Katrina Blog that has up to the minute updates. They are all covering this calamity with as much raw honesty (and anger) as Dutch television. If you want more like that, look for Mayor Nagin’s radio interview (found on CNN unedited) or our gayboy Anderson Cooper interviewing senator Landrieu. The anger after 911 will pale in comparison to this. Bush will fall, but we will still be left with a war, a bankrupt economy, 10,000 unnecessary dead and a piece of our national identity ravaged if not gone forever.

This Dutch reporter, Toine Huys, is doing a tremendous job in New Orleans indeed. See all his reports at http://www.novatv.nl. Both the newsshow Nova and the website are in dutch. See especially the moving and political (“the president dropped the ball”) report in wednesdays show. And allthough it’s probably not the time to talk about boys, you’ll looooooove the anchorman of the fridayshow, Madge!
