We are conditioned to buy shit we dont need, to impress people we dont even like, so that we can feel good about ourselves. Then the companies make more money and buy more politicians who protect their interest even further, and the cycle has gone on for years, and years, and now we are at the point where no person has a voice!!
People dont vote at the polls they vote at the cash register. Why is microsoft affecting labor policy in washington? You affect political change by telling microsoft that your not going to buy their shit unless they do what you want them to, like push the homos back in the closet. What the fuck is that all about. One small critism of this lovely new look and the previous one is the word “Yeast” – the times roman next to ariel doesn’t look right ? if this was in the same font as “Madge Weinstein’s” and “Radio” it would look delicious, the size the color and case are perfect but somehow that font looks wrong, maybe I’m just anal, apart from that it looks brilliant and if it’s another chub creek design then hats off to that genius because it looks damn sexy !
Another wee idea – I like on the tail end of each Daily Source Code Adam Curry lights up and puffs on a joint, you need a little signiture like this to end the show before the Taylor E outro kicks in – maybe you could fart or something, I dunno. just ideas yes I’ll fuck off now and mind my own business.
Yes, you’re right about the font. I will fix that. I’m not going to do a copy of the curry thing, though I do like his joint lighting at the end of his shows. if something happens it happens, otherwise I’m still fat.
Ahem… the entire thing is Gill Sans actually. Bold and regular. I reccomend Robin WIlliam’s “Non Designers Design Book”. I may be an asshole, but typography I know.
