Hiya, Madge!

Does this mean you’ll be moving to Florida full-time?? (Or did I miss something?) You CUNT leave us now…you just CUNT! I’ve just discovered your shows (just got broadband). I need more cool Chicagoans to point to, and say YES! THESE ARE MY PEOPLE!

Regardless, though, I’ll cuntinue to listen…

We wuv yu!

Madge- great stuff. Lots of great stuff. Thank God someone else has the same opinion of the Mac Cast as I do.

I’ll try and promote you on my livejournal if that helps. I’ll make icons and banners too! [I know it’s pathetic and lame, but I really need something to distract me from work]

People really need to hear this podcast. It’s fucking hysterical.

You probably won’t like my suggestion, because it requires a lot of editing and postproduction, but how about segmentizing your show. Here’s my suggestion: You do your show, then cut it apart and cuntpress each segment according to what its requirements are. If its a skype interview, then make it 32kbps mono; it actually may help the quality because the cuntpression algorithm will throw away some of the noise. If it has music, then go 128kpbs joint stereo. If its live guests, 64kpbs joint stereo (so what if they bounce around the stereo field a little–they’ll just sound animated). It also may require people fiddling with their aggregator settings to make sure they get all the segments.

Then reduce the show’s length to where doing the show and editing it is a managable task. Yeah, I know, “Go Fuck Yourself.” So how about a little story:

A tourist walked into a curio shop in San Francisco. Looking around at the exotica, he noticed a very lifelike, life-sized bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but it was so striking he decided he must have it. He took it to the counter. “How much for the bronze rat?” he asked. “Twelve dollars for the rat, one hundred dollars for the story,” the owner said.

The tourist gave the shop owner twelve dollars. “I’ll take the rat. You can keep the story.”

As he walked down the street carrying the rat, he soon noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the alleys and sewers and began following him. This was disconcerting, so he began walking faster. But within a couple of blocks, the herd of rats behind him had grown to hundreds, and they began squealing. He began to trot toward the Bay, but looking back he saw that the rats now numbered in the millions, were squealing ever louder, and coming toward him faster and faster. Now scared, he broke into a run, then a full Olympic sprint to the edge of the Bay where he threw the bronze rat as far out as he could muster. Amazingly, the millions of rats all jumped into the Bay after the bronze rat, and they all drowned.

The man walked back to the curio shop. “Aha!” said the owner. “You have come back for the story.”

“No,” said the man, “I came back to see if you have a bronze Republican.”

Dearest Madge,

Please keep the 60min length, if anything we the gentle need more YR, so go longer – you’re the best hour of my day Madge.

nooooooooooooo madge welove the turntable sounds – the hiss the cracles the pphil glass, the mixing,,you being you, just everything about the show, in tterms of audio quality it’s the best sounding podcast around keep it stereo keep it the way it is, perhaps daniel can stop the show after the first 40 minutes or f/forward the music, dan would you like less wine in a bottle of wine or more knowing you dont have to drink it all, madge is wine yeasty wine, good wine, fine wine getting better with age, dont drink and drive.

Why doesn’t the Yeast Radio site have any Google Pagerank despite all the incoming links?!

Are they censoring her because the cuntent is not safe for search?

I’d have to agree. The one hour is best. I don’t mind the interviews as long as they don’t get too technical and nerdy… Keep up the light stuff. And I have an intriguing idea for you. It just might work. 😉 I’ll let you know if you’re interested. It might solve a lotta money and other potential problems.

Your 1-hour shows are great. They’re fun to listen to, even if you do have guests and interviews.

Also, I would love to be a seeder for you if you ever offer any BitTorrent downbloats. I’m on a university connection too.

Rock on!

Gussie was dreaming about 674. Isn’t that the accurate number of panes of glass in the Louvre pyramid that Da Vinci Code claimed were 666?
