Well, it must be the 2.2 million euro the court ordered Adam to refund to the banckrupt Rotorjet, last week. And the 130,000 euro the Dutch tax man is seeking in dodged salestaxes on ‘private’ flights on Rotorjet helicopters, that prevent him from buying sufficient bandwidth, LOL.
If one’s business requires so much input from oneself, it is not a sound business move to launch a new service while one is on the road. Especially since the first test went seriously wrong, as Monday’s podshow was inaccessible all day.
Profit by definition goes into one’s pocket.

Looks like Adam’s onepleasure server is getting swamped as well, as I have been getting constant rebuffering for some time now, whereas the first 40 minutes of the the show streamed just fine.

The show didn’t cut off at the end. The problem is that iPodder and similar apps are not really suitable for downloading shit, you’ll need a download manager like Monica. If a server times out after 2 minutes iPodder has no clue what to do. They have to work on that.

But when I tried to reaccess the show later on, it looks like the mirror is down. Oh, and I didn’t have the cutting off at the end problem, it just downloaded really slow when it WAS working.

I can guess he’s put up some money, but I’d be interested to know what you, Dawn & Drew, and the rest of the “Pod Squad” are risking- except to receive a wider audience. Can you please address this topic here in your forum? I for one would like to know what risks mentioned by Adam Curry you are taking?
Jimmy, I’ll be happy to talk about that stuff but I’d rather wait a while for things to settle down before getting into a deep discussion about it.
For now, I will say that it’s good for everyone involved because PodShow’s focus is content. Adam and Ron are two guys with great experience, connections, and vision. PodShow is where it’s at. These guys really know their shit.

Hi madge, I really like the show. Hopefully it wont change too much now that your becoming a celebrity and have to make choices.
The whole podshow thing seems like big business has found your talent. The subscription model scares me to death. Hopefully that won’t happen for the sake of the poor gentle listeners like me. I guess some crap will infiltrate the show and that’s ok. Anyway, I wish you the best and hope you will at least always be somewhat of a “double agent” for the poor people on this internets no matter how famous you become.

I had a look at the Podshow thingy. I was going to sign up, but it seems only to want “podcast professionals” that spooked me. Sounds like it’s taking the fun out of it to me. I’d rather do our show for free, and for fun.
