That podcast made me laugh so much that I had an ass blow out (http://poetry.rotten.com/weightlifter/). I loved that you said that you “went to Vassar and might have eaten out Nancy Ragen”. I know exactly how that is… sometimes you have to trick them to do what you want… like peanut butter… sometimes I put that on my lips and only then will my dog lick and bite on my lips. Having major problems trying to listen to this one… iPodder will only download the first 3 seconds, then quit, and i can’t listen through the site or save it through the site. Hmm I guess I’ll just wait til morning and try again, unless anyone has any suggestions. *hopeful eyes*

It’s adam curry’s new DSC podcast, which is really big, It’s creating a huge bottleneck that is affecting all podcasts hosted on his server.

Wow, I guess more people have noticed the not-workage since I went to bed. I can just hear Madge’s rant on the Podshows now…

Is this profit going in Curry’s pocket or on the distribution? Why is this MP3 on his server and not Madges cuntputer?

Oh dearest Madge….I get so excited when I click to hear a new show….this waiting is a buzz kill! I’m not sure what to do with myself while I wait.

Well, it must be the 2.2 million euro the court ordered Adam to refund to the banckrupt Rotorjet, last week. And the 130,000 euro the Dutch tax man is seeking in dodged salestaxes on ‘private’ flights on Rotorjet helicopters, that prevent him from buying sufficient bandwidth, LOL.

If one’s business requires so much input from oneself, it is not a sound business move to launch a new service while one is on the road. Especially since the first test went seriously wrong, as Monday’s podshow was inaccessible all day.

Looks like Adam’s onepleasure server is getting swamped as well, as I have been getting constant rebuffering for some time now, whereas the first 40 minutes of the the show streamed just fine.

The show didn’t cut off at the end. The problem is that iPodder and similar apps are not really suitable for downloading shit, you’ll need a download manager like Monica. If a server times out after 2 minutes iPodder has no clue what to do. They have to work on that.

Well I finally got to listen to the show a little while ago. I was cracking up so hard when you were telling Chauncey to eat out your pussy. I mean you said it before, but this time he actually did it!

But when I tried to reaccess the show later on, it looks like the mirror is down. Oh, and I didn’t have the cutting off at the end problem, it just downloaded really slow when it WAS working.

Adam Curry talked a bit about the “chances he’s taking, and the podcaster’s too” in regards to the PodShow roll-out. I can guess he’s put up some money, but I’d be interested to know what you, Dawn & Drew, and the rest of the “Pod Squad” are risking- except to receive a wider audience. Can you please address this topic here in your forum? I for one would like to know what risks mentioned by Adam Curry you are taking?

Jimmy, I’ll be happy to talk about that stuff but I’d rather wait a while for things to settle down before getting into a deep discussion about it.

For now, I will say that it’s good for everyone involved because PodShow’s focus is content. Adam and Ron are two guys with great experience, connections, and vision. PodShow is where it’s at. These guys really know their shit.

Think about it. Commercialization of podcasting?! Bill Maher (1/2 jew) was cancelled because of his reliance on corporate sponsorship. NPR is the closest thing to the voice of the people. Free yourself from $$$ and stop keeping secrets. Tell us about it. Ypu’re being taking advantage of.

Seeing as the whole premise of your Madge character can really dish it
out, crossing the line into social shock, I thought you could take it.
And the Bill Maher comment- I meant as soon as he said something the
sponsor’s didn’t like they pulled the plug on him. Censorship is not a
good thing. And corporate sponsorship is a two-edged sword. Think about
it. Ironically, my idiotic verbal spew produced the exact response from
you that I was pointing out when one relies on corporate sponsorship
and you say something “they” don’t like. You get “shut down”. Howard
Stern is also not a stranger to the concept.
Please remove my idiotic ramblings, pray to Bill W. for me, and post
this letter of apology in full in your comments forum since you’ve cut

Hi madge, I really like the show. Hopefully it wont change too much now that your becoming a celebrity and have to make choices.
The whole podshow thing seems like big business has found your talent. The subscription model scares me to death. Hopefully that won’t happen for the sake of the poor gentle listeners like me. I guess some crap will infiltrate the show and that’s ok. Anyway, I wish you the best and hope you will at least always be somewhat of a “double agent” for the poor people on this internets no matter how famous you become.

I had a look at the Podshow thingy. I was going to sign up, but it seems only to want “podcast professionals” that spooked me. Sounds like it’s taking the fun out of it to me. I’d rather do our show for free, and for fun.

Madge – let me add my congratulations to the many others I am sure you will receive. Though you’re already a celebrity in my eyes, I am thrilled for you that you have been included in the podshow venture. It is my hope that the arrangement you have is a lucrative one and to _your_ benefit.
